The Associate Producer is responsible for supporting their department’s scheduling and completion of deliverables for the game. They will be involved in all stages of the project, from initial concept to the completion of the finished product and will need to excel in managing both the high level tasks (scheduling, QA planning etc.) to the daily low level tasks such as dealing with ad-hoc issues and problem solving.
 
Covid-19 Hiring Update: We've transitioned to a work-from-home model and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position, and once it’s safe to return to the office can either be completed from our London HQ, fully remotely or some combination of the two.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Round Ups & Developer Support: Conduct rounds ups and provide general support including:
  • Round up design components, sprint tasks and milestone closing bugs.
  • Following up on dependencies to ensure developers have what they need to complete their work on time.
  • Raise issues to Leads and Producers.
  • Build Support: Managing the milestone builds from a production perspective and rounding up developers for final bug fixes etc. Liaising with the Producers during the branch process to ensure bug fixes are reviewed and promoted to the branch
  • Backlog Updates: Work with producers and leads to maintain your assigned team’s backlogs health for sprints and milestones. Conducting rounds ups with developers to confirm estimates, update users stories, etc.
  • Milestone Documentation: Support your Producers and Leads in completing milestone specification plans and milestone release documentation.
  • QA Liaison: Work with QA and your producers to ensure your feature team’s deliverables are tested effectively. Ensure test plan creation is scheduled effectively and the test plan requirements meeting process is followed professionally.
  • Deliverables Status Tracking: Work closely with feature owners to ensure deliverable reviews are completed on time and to the required quality. Raising any issues with Senior Production.
  • Pipeline & Dependency Tracking: Support your team’s component, pipeline and dependencies in conjunction with Leads and Producers.
Requirements:
  • An excellent understanding of the Office suite i.e. Excel, Word
  • Experience of bug tracking systems such as JIRA
  • Experience using project management and version control systems e.g. Hansoft, Shotgun, Perforce
  • An awareness of the technologies and techniques used by the teams you work with such that you can make more informed decisions with them
  • Experience working with QA and the different techniques they use in testing
  • Programming or scripting experience is a bonus

  • Demonstrable experience working on AAA projects including examples where you have:
  • Worked with a development team on a project from concept to ship.
  • Exhibited a commitment to excellence and accuracy within your work demonstrating how you set a higher quality bar than existed before you were responsible.
  • Collaborated in an area of a project that wasn’t performing well and are able to explain how it was turned around and the lessons learned by the team.
  • Been part of creating a process or a long term plan that was effective in preventing issues from occurring.
  • Show that you can identify and correct systemic problems when things do go wrong.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple requests from different people while working towards a deadline.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks with dependencies and detailed tracking requirements.
  • Passion for gaming, with an excellent understanding of design across genres
  • Familiar with common development methodologies and process.
  • Broad knowledge of comics, novels, games, cinema, and popular culture relating to video games
